Facility Maintenance
Whether you’re interested in understanding the fundamentals of maintenance as a home handyperson or looking to make a career in facilities maintenance, there is a path for you at WCCCD.
The college certificate will provide the fundamentals of residential wiring, heating, and plumbing to prepare you for minor repairs. The AAS program prepares you to start your career in facilities maintenance in any industry and fulfill the requirements for the State of Michigan and local licensing examinations. The certificate will satisfy the competency requirements for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO) for facility maintenance training if you want to work in a healthcare facility.

Our Eastern campus offers the Facility Maintenance Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and College Certificate program. As a WCCCD student, you can take courses, use facilities, and get involved at any of our six locations.
